Shanghai’s impressive skyline
American Airlines launched its first-ever non-stop flights from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) and Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) in summer 2014.
The daily non-stop flights between DFW and Hong Kong will be operated with a Boeing wide-body 777-300ER – the first deployment of the aircraft to Asia. The new flights between DFW and Shanghai will be operated with a Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
AA currently also operates flights to Shanghai from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD).
American Airlines is taking delivery of a number of new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft next year. These aircraft will be deployed on several routes including Miami to London Heathrow, Miami to Sao Paulo and New York JFK to London Heathrow.
The aircraft’s features include a feeling of spaciousness achieved through mood lighting and ceiling treatments. Each passenger will have access to a USB jack and power outlet, with optional WiFi capability.
First and Business Class travelers will have fully-flat beds with aisle access at every seat to ensure a good night’s sleep.
