American Airlines plans to issue Samsung Galaxy Note tablets to all of its 17,000 fight attendants to improve the customer experience. The tablets will enable the fight attendants to record passenger meal and beverage preferences, easily identify premium passengers and provide assistance related to connecting gate, flight delay and weather information.
American Airlines also plans to introduce WiFi in 91 percent of its domestic fleet by the end of this year. Both American and United have also recently issued iPads to pilots for browsing flight manuals.
