Mexican carrier Aeromexico has taken the delivery of its first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
Aeromexico’s Dreamliner features a cabin layout with 32 fully-flat bed seats in the Clase Premier (business class) cabin and 211 extra legroom seats in the economy class cabin.
The aircraft is also equipped with Sky Interiors LED lighting as well as typical Dreamliner features such as larger than usual windows and a greater level of cabin pressurization to reduce flying fatigue.
The aircraft’s in-flight entertainment systems offers a Moving Maps feature providing real-time flight information, Jukebox application allowing passengers to program their playlists from nearly 1,500 songs offered, iConnect for iPod synchronization and the Seat Chat system to communicate with other passengers on the aircraft.
The aircraft will be used on domestic routes within Mexico in October, followed by regular flights on the Mexico City-Tokyo route beginning on October 14th, 2013.
Aeromexico plans to use its second (yet to be delivered) Dreamliner for Mexico City – New York flights from October.
