Air Canada has unveiled its new leisure airline, Air Canada Rouge, that will focus exclusively on leisure travel. The airline is scheduled to begin flights in July 2013 and is currently accepting bookings.
The announced destinations are Venice, Edinburgh, Athens, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Costa Rica. Of these, Venice and Edinburgh are not covered by Air Canada at present.
The airline will initially use two Boeing 767-300ERs for transatlantic flights and two Airbus A319 aircraft for flights in North America.
