Air China is experimenting with new gourmet meals that will be launched on the carrier’s flights between Beijing and Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. The airline held a food tasting event on March 8, where its chefs presented new dishes for tasting and feedback by passengers and experts. Many newly created appetizers, hors d’oeuvres and other dishes were later selected for introduction on flights in the coming year.
Air China is increasing the frequency of its Beijing-New York non-stop flights to 11 weekly flights starting from May 31. The flights will use Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and offer lie-flat seats in first and business class.
