Indian flag carrier Air India has reduced its free baggage limit for domestic economy-class passengers to 15 kg from 20 kg earlier.
The airline will charge INR 200-250 ($4-5 USD) per kg (slightly more than 2 lbs) for baggage weight beyond the maximum limit.
Members of the airline’s frequent flier program will be allowed 10 kg of extra checked baggage on domestic flights. The business class baggage allowance has remained unchanged at 35 kg.
