Air New Zealand unveiled a new livery prominently featuring New Zealand’s national silver fern icon. The new livery features a silver fern on an all black or black and white color scheme. It will be painted on all the airline’s 103 aircraft, beginning in the latter part of 2013.
Most of the aircraft will feature the white and black version.
The new livery retains the “koru” mark on the tail but uses black as the color for the tail instead of blue.
Air New Zealand has also signed a $20 million deal for a one-year partnership to undertake joint marketing campaigns for promoting travel to New Zealand in key markets including North America.
The use of the fern mark is managed by Tourism New Zealand and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
