Air New Zealand, the New Zealand national airline, will be undergoing an upgrade on its fleet to include painting the tails of all the planes black and changing the style and colour of the letters. According to the airline, black shows the pride and the identity of the nation on the international stage – especially after the New Zealand All Black’s (rugby) World Cup Championship in 2011. The airline will retain its distinctive koru design on the plane tails. Painting and other new changes for the airline’s whole fleet are expected to be finished by December of this year .
