Air New Zealand announced a new paid seat-allocation system, Seat Select, in late November. Under this plan, the airline will be charging passengers more for the best seats on its flights.
Many of the seats that were previously reserved for premium frequent fliers are now available for selection through Sear Select. For example, nearly half (10 seats) of the Premium Economy seats reserved for frequent fliers on Boeing 777-300ERs are now on sale on a first-come-first-served basis. Similarly, all the premium seats previously reserved for frequent flyers on Air NZ’s Boeing 767s are available for selection.Air NZ’s new Seat Select extra-legroom system explained
