Air Pacific – soon to be rebranded as Fiji Airways – has taken the delivery of its first Airbus A330-200 aircraft in Fiji Airways livery. The aircraft will fly on routes linking Fiji with Los Angeles, Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong, beginning from April 2, 2013.
The aircraft features 24 Zodiac Aerospace/Weber designed angled lie-flat Tabua business class seats with power/USB outlets and Panasonic’s eX2 content-on-demand systems with 15.4 inch screens. Economy seats also feature power/USB outlets and offer 9-inch IFE displays.
Air Pacific will receive two more A330 aircraft in May and November 2013. The new planes will transform the flights to Fiji from Los Angeles, and on to Australia or Auckland to a comfortable welcome to this region. We’ve heard that Air Pacific intends to recommence daily flights to Fiji from LAX – stay tuned for more details.
