airberlin, the second largest German airline after Lufthansa, announced in September 2016 it is expanding its European network with new flights to Spain and a frequency hike on its Austria routes.
The airline is launching a new non-stop flight between German city of Dusseldorf and the Spanish capital, Madrid, on January 13 2014.
airberlin currently also operates a daily flight between Madrid and Berlin, which it launched in February 2013.
airberlin is also launching a daily non-stop flight between the Austrian capital, Vienna, and Madrid from January 13 2014. The flight will be operated by Austrian airline NIKI, which belongs to the airberlin group.
On November 1, 2013 airberlin is increasing the number of daily flights to Vienna from Berlin-Tegel and Dusseldorf on Mondays to Fridays from five flights per day to six flights per day.
