Aircraft maker Airbus has added the option for installing premium economy seats in its upcoming A350 aircraft. Airbus announced that it will offer carriers the Celeste A350-optimized ‘cradle seats’ manufactured by EADS-Sogerma as well as the ‘5810’ seat manufactured by Zodiac as an option for the A350 premium economy cabin.
Airbus A350 is a family of fuel-efficient long-range wide-body airliners being developed by Airbus. The aircraft’s long-range and fuel efficiency make its a direct competitor to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The first delivery of an A350 is expected to be made in 2014 to Qatar Airways, which has ordered 80 of the aircraft.
