Aircraft maker Airbus announced it has shortlisted 100 student teams from around the world for the next round of its 2013 Fly Your Ideas challenge, which encourages participants to explore the future of aviation industry.
The 100 teams were selected after evaluation of ideas by over 600 teams. Among the 100, 49 are from the Asia Pacific, 37 are from Europe, 8 are from the Americas, 3 are from Africa and 3 are from the Middle East.
This is the third edition of the UNESCO-backed competition. A total of 45,000 euros (about $60,000) in prize money is up for grabs in the 2013 competition.
