Airbus has announced plans to increase the range of its A330-300 and A330-200 passenger jets by 2015. The range will be increased by increasing the fuel capacity and take-off weights of these aircraft. After the modifications, the range of A330-300 will increase by 300nm to about 6100 miles and the range of A330-200 will increase by 250 nm. The new range will allow the A330-300s to fly between southeast Asia and Europe.
