
KLM is allowed to use the word “royal” in its name – and keep the royal symbol on its planes – for another 25 years.
Dutch airline KLM Royal Dutch has been allowed to use the prefix Royal by the mayor of the Dutch city Amstelveen for 25 more years. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines was founded in 1919 and is the world’s oldest airline operating under its original name.
Air France KLM, formed with the merger of KLM and Air France, is one of the leading European airlines and covers 125 US cities in partnership with US airline Delta.
