New Amman Terminal Set To Open

An architectural rendering of Queen Alia International Airport, Amman

A new modern terminal at the Queen Alia International Airport in the Jordanian capital Amman will open on March 21, tripling the capacity of the airport.

The new 103,000 sqm terminal, financed by the Airport International Group, has been designed by Sir Norman Foster. It features a roof inspired by Bedouin tents and offers easy access to the boarding lounge and shopping areas from the security checkpoints.

At present, 44 airlines fly from Queen Alia International Airport, the largest airport in the country, with about 1,220 flights per week.
