Low Cost Air Travel

Air Canada is emerging as a source of low cost air travel for vacationers from the United States.  Since the beginning of this year, Air Canada has increased flights from the US to its Toronto hub and from Toronto to a choice of international destinations.

With a focus on strengthening Toronto as its major hub, in June Air Canada began daily non-stop flights from Portland, Oregon and San Diego to Toronto. Earlier this year, the airline launched non-stop flights to Toronto from Orange County California, Cincinnati, Memphis, Syracuse, Portland Maine and  New York.  At present, the number of US airports served by Air Canada has increased to 58.

Flights to Toronto are timed for convenient connections to flights on Air Canada’s domestic Canadian and international network.  This year non-stop flights to Copenhagen, flights to Barcelona and Athens, and same-plane service to Brussels, with a stop in Montreal, have been added.

With a solid schedule of flights to Europe, the South Pacific, Asia and the Caribbean, include Air Canada in your search for cheap international airfare.  Connecting flights from the US to Toronto are designated international flights – one piece of luggage, weighing up to 50 lbs, can be checked by coach class passengers at no charge.  Savings on luggage fees can be substantial compared to US airlines if you have to fly from your home city for your international flight.

Additionally, every seat – even in economy class – in Air Canada’s aircraft on its US to Toronto routes has a personal seat-back entertainment unit.
