British Airways has become the first European airline to launch an app for the Windows 8 desktop operating system. The app features easy navigation and provides images, interactive maps, fare information and advice about various destinations. BA was the first UK airline to offer mobile-enabled boarding to the users of Microsoft’s mobile OS, Windows Phone 7.
Microsoft Windows 8 was launched on October 26 and features a radical overhaul of the Windows user interface to suit touchscreen devices.
