Aircraft landing at Princess Juliana International Airport, St. Maarten
Some airports in the world have locations that make for some incredibly scenic aerial views for air passengers while landing. Private jet service Privatefly has compiled a list of the 10 best airport approaches as selected by a panel of travel journalists and other experts.
The approach to Princess Juliana International Airport in St. Maarten, which is also famous for some stunning aircraft photos due to its proximity to a beach, is at the top in the list. Barra Airport (Scotland) is at second place followed by Los Angeles International Airport at the third place. The only other US airport approach in the Top 10 is the Las Vegas McCarran Airport.
