The Advertising Standards Authority, UK’s independent regulator of media advertising, has raised a number of doubts about the credibility of airline reviews posted on the airline review website of SkyTrax Research, www.airlinequality.com. An ASA Investigation found that although the site advertised offering “checked and trusted airline reviews,” it was unable to provide any proof that it had followed its claimed procedures for verifying the genuineness of posted reviews.
The ASA investigation also found that the website’s claim of having 5 million reviews was not correct as it had only 400,000 reviews accessible on the site.
