Airlines around the world are experimenting with fancy cocktails, craft beers and premium wine selections to provide in-flight drinks that rival the best offerings on ground.
Some of the available drink options in 2013 include
- Virgin America’s “Grandma’s Coffee,” an iced cappuccino with Jack Daniels whiskey;
- Delta’s vodka, Fresca and cranberry-apple juice drink dubbed “Sky Breeze;”
- United’s “Trader Vic’s Mai Tai” on flights to Hawaii.
Paid in-flight drinks also provide additional revenue to the airlines and, of course, help to reduce the stress associated with flying.
Virgin America will be soon launching an in-flight “send a drink” service allowing passengers to use their seat’s IFE display to buy drinks for their co-travelers.
