Alaska Airlines frequent fliers are now be able to track their Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan account information through a Google Wallet application on their smartphones.
Customers can store their Mileage Plan details in Google Wallet by scanning their membership card or typing in their account numbers. The Google Wallet app is free and available for download at Google Play and Apple’s App Store.
Alaska announced support in September 2013 for the virtual wallet application and is now claiming to be the first domestic US airline to support both Google Wallet and Apple’s Passbook. The airline launched support for mobile boarding passes through Apple’s Passbook application in May 2013.
