American Airlines has finally unveiled its much anticipated new look – the first change to its logo and the appearance of its aircraft since 1968. The new look will first debut on the Boeing 777-300ERs scheduled to start flying from Jan 31, 2013.
The redesign does away with the airline’s signature polished-metal color scheme and also changes the livery on the tail section. The AA logo on the tail has been replaced by the blue, white and red stripes of the colors in the US flag. Another addition is an eagle’s head through a red/blue slanted stripe toward the front of the aircraft.
The new look and logo does appear modern and a welcome change from American’s existing out-of-another-era look – what do you think about American’s new make-over?
