Hawaiian Airlines announced it will begin service between Auckland and Honolulu, Hawaii 3 times a week beginning in March 2013. Hawaiian’s flights from Auckland will connect to flights to Maui, Kauai, Hawaii Island and 11 cities on the US mainland. Kevin Bowler, chief executive of Tourism New Zealand, welcomes the new air service and hopes that the upcoming non-stop flights will improve visitor arrivals from the United States and strengthen the relations between two countries.
