British Airways has opened a new lounge at the Cape Town international airport. The design of the new lounge is similar to that of its Galleries Lounge at Heathrow Terminal 5.
The new lounge replaces the airline’s Terraces lounge at the airport. The over 7,000 square foot lounge is nearly double the size of the previous lounge and can accommodate up to 148 passengers.
Lounge amenities include free WiFi Internet access, showers and catering options developed with a local menu and wines.
The lounge also offers an air-printing facility which allows guests to print from their own devices while in the lounge without connecting manually to the printer.
The lounge will be open to all British Airways First and Club World customers, Executive Club Gold and Silver members, and oneworld frequent flyers with Emerald and Sapphire status.
British Airways will add three additional flights per week between London Heathrow and Cape Town from May 2014.
