British Airways launched a new whiskey bar in its Executive Lounge at the Glasgow International Airport.
Spirits maker Pernod Ricard opened the Glenlivet Whisky Bar and Snug at the lounge in early May 2013. The bar is part of the $1.2 million lounge renovation. It has a special section for scotch whiskey – the national drink of Scotland.
Passengers can choose from The Glenlivet 12yo, 15yo or 18yo. The products on the shelf will be rotated to allow regular travelers the opportunity to trial an extended range of whiskies.
Another feature of the lounge is that all the offered meals and drinks are sourced locally, allowing travelers to experience fresh produce with their authentic scotch whiskey.
