Two US airlines – United and American Airlines – offer baggage delivery service to their customers for an additional fee. AA was the first to launch such service which covers nearly 200 US airports. United currently offers the service to its passengers arriving at airports in Boston, Chicago, Honolulu, Houston, Los Angeles and Orlando and plans to expand to other cities.
Both AA and United offer the service through Bags VIP, which offers baggage delivery service at over 250 US airports at prices ranging from $30-$50 for 1-10 bags. The baggage is delivered up to 40 miles from the arriving airport (up to 100 miles after a $1 per mile surcharge). However, Bags VIP does not pick up baggage.
