Boeing has said that it expects its grounded 787 Dreamliners to be back in the air soon after the successful completion of the tests on the redesigned lithium-ion batteries used in the aircraft. Last week, the Federal Aviation Administration allowed 787 test-flights with the redesigned batteries. Boeing has said that it has made the batteries more heat resistant and that this will prevent any problems in future.
The FAA had grounded all Boeing 787 Dreamliners in January after safety concerns over faulty batteries.
