Cathay Pacific will launch flights between its home hub in Hong Kong and Newark Liberty International Airport beginning on March 1, 2014.
The Hong Kong-Newark flights will be operated using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft featuring the airline’s new cabin products including Premium Economy Class and the new Economy cabin.
Economy class features will include 6-inch seat recline, 9-inch personal entertainment displays, USB ports and individual power outlets.
To celebrate the new service, Cathay Pacific is offering a promotional fare sale through September 23 for Newark passengers booking round-trip Economy tickets to Hong Kong. The low fares are good for travel between March 1, 2014 and April 30, 2014.
The Newark flights will complement the airline’s 4 daily flights to Hong Kong from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Newark will be Cathay Pacific’s fifth destination in the US with flights to Hong Kong from Chicago, Los Angeles, New York (JFK) and San Francisco currently available.
