Hong Kong based airline Cathay Pacific plans to upgrade its first class cabin with various new and upgraded amenities beginning from this July, according to Australian Business Traveller.
The upgrades will include covering the seats with a new “smooth and soft” fabric, a new cabin color scheme, new bedding, touchscreen controls for adjusting seating position, a new sleep suit, a spacious personal closet, a drink holder on the side-console and Bose noise-canceling headphones. The toilets will also be upgraded with new basins and counter-tops.
This First Class upgrade will be implemented on all Cathay Pacific long-range Boeing 777-300ER aircraft by mid 2014.
Cathay Pacific is also planning a more comprehensive refresh of its First Class cabin by 2018.
