Cathay Pacific has successfully launched its new updated business class between Hong Kong and Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth on one flight each day. The major revamp is in the seating offered by the airline. Instead of the old, traditional, semi-reclining seats in business class, the airplanes flying to Australia have been fitted with a properly reclining lie-flat bed. The old main cabin look has been changed to post-modern with the addition of premium economy seating and reclining seats – good-bye fixed back seating! – in economy class. Cathay anticipates their retrofit to the new seating will be complete on all craft by early next year.
