Find your cheap flights to Australia -

The following airlines fly non-stop from the United States to Australia - use our search engine to find your cheap flights to Australia on them. Consider their features and benefits when purchasing your airfare.
Qantas
Qantas, Australia's airline, offers daily non-stop flights from Los Angeles and less frequent flights from San Francisco to Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. Qantas offers add-on flights operated by American Airlines from many gateways in the US to connect to the flights leaving for Australia from Los Angeles and San Francisco. Qantas frequently has low season flight specials and special bonus offers on its Aussie AirPass.
United Airlines
United flies from Los Angles and San Francisco non-stop only to Sydney, with connections from other cities in the US. United has infrequent special sales on these flights.
VAustralia
The newest addition to the Virgin Airlines Group, VAustralia flies non-stop from Los Angeles with cheap flights to Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. VAustralia also has some flights departing from San Francisco. Connecting flights are available on Delta and Virgin America from other cities within the US. VAustralia frequently has special offers and promotions for low season cheap flights to Australia.
Delta Air Lines
Delta initiated service to Sydney, Australia in 2009. Their announcement of code-sharing flights with Virgin Airlines, specifically VAustralia, will increase the availability of flights to Australia for Delta's frequent flier members. Additionally, Delta's Sky Miles Club members can relax in VirginBlue's luxurious airport lounges when traveling within Australia on VirginBlue or internationally on Delta or VAustralia.
Flying East
Travelers on the East coast of North America might consider flying East as an option to reach Australia. For the most part, flying East is longer and more expensive – however if you plan to include a visit to Singapore (Singapore Air has daily non-stop service from Newark to Singapore) or Dubai (Emirates offers two non-stop flights each day from JFK) with your Australian vacation – or if you prefer the luxury and comfort of flying with luxury, top rated airlines, consider flying East.
Tip for travelers departing for Australia from JFK
Beginning in June 2011, Qantas will resume daily service of QF108 flights from JFK. Flight QF 108 has operated only 5 times per week for the past year. Although travelers on this flight must disembark for several hours in Los Angeles while the aircraft is serviced for the overseas flight, the aircraft continues on to Auckland, NZ. Travelers can also connect to Qantas flights to Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney in Los Angeles or continue on to Auckland. Qantas has held flights headed for Australia in Los Angeles when this JFK flight is delayed.
Because flight QF108 uses a larger, international airplane, even economy class offers more space and leg room than Qantas' code-share flights, which are on smaller planes and operated by American Airlines, to California.
