If you want to include relaxing on long white sand beaches, exploring a choice of rainforests, venturing into Queensland's Outback and diving or snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef in your Australian vacation, Brisbane is a fantastic choice for your arrival airport.

Sydney

Sydney, consistently ranked as one of the top cities in the world, has many of Australia's most popular icons. The non-stop flight from Los Angeles to Sydney is approximately 14½ to 15 hours. Attend a performance at the World Heritage-listed Opera House, learn to surf on Bondi Beach, and meet an array of native animals at the Taronga Zoo or head out of Sydney for a day or more.

From Sydney, you can visit the Blue Mountains to enjoy bush walks, wildlife spotting and scenic vistas or head out to the Hunter Valley wine region for wonderful tastings of wine, beer, cheese and chocolates.

Melbourne

Attend a range of sporting events, gain introduction to Australia's strong Aboriginal heritage, visit fantastic museums, stroll along alleyways with hidden treasures including boutique shops and cafes, and take a day trip to choice of attractions: the scenic Great Ocean Road, Phillip Island with the fairy penguins, fur seals and koalas, and the Yarra Valley wine region.

Use your airfare to Australia to fly to Melbourne and take a short flight to Adelaide to explore the Flinders Mountains, Barossa Wine Region, Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island or to fly to Hobart and Launceston on Tasmania and meet the endangered Tasmanian Devil.
