China’s sovereign wealth fund has bought a 10 percent stake in Heathrow Airport Holdings, which owns London’s Heathrow airport as well as Stansted, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Southampton airports. The state-owned China Investment Corporation bought the stake from Spain’s Ferrovial for about 450 million pounds (about $715 million). The deal, which includes inclusion of a member on Heathrow Airport Holding’s 14-member board, is expected to facilitate new flights between UK and China.
