Often the cabin temperatures in aircraft do not meet the individual preferences of the passengers. German researchers are developing climate controlled airplane seats that can provide desired temperature options to air travelers. The seats developed by researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics allow passengers to set preferred temperature and humidity and also feature seat heaters and concealed noiseless air vents. The seats are expected to be available in a few years.
