Delta has redesigned its meal service in its BusinessElite (business class) cabins to ensure more sleep time for passengers.
The expedited meal service will especially benefit passengers on east-bound transatlantic flights such as those between the US east coast and London.
The airline has sped-up the dinner service by about 30 minutes on east bound night flights, thereby increasing the rest time for passengers.
This has been achieved by dropping the hot-nut snacks and introducing a Dine and Rest menu on every international flight.
This meal option can be delivered quickly after take-off or at any point during the flight. The new menu includes 4 choices for a hot main dish.
Other modifications include a bar cart that carries the wines and appetizers and enables quicker service.
