Delta has unveiled the next phase of the ongoing expansion of its Terminal 4 at New York’s JFK Airport. The phase will involve the addition of 11 gates and 75,000 square feet of space to Terminal 4’s Concourse B.
The $175 million expansion is in addition to the $1.2 billion Terminal 4 expansion scheduled to open in May 2013.
After the completion of the latest expansion, Terminal 4 Concourse B will have 27 Delta gates in all, enabling it to replace Delta’s regional jet operations at Terminal 2.
Each new gate will have a dedicated boarding counter, seating area and jet bridge. All the gates will be able to handle two-class regional jets as well as other aircraft.
