A pre-flight test of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner raised new concerns about the plane.
The test resulted in a fire in nearby grass at Charleston International Airport in South Carolina on Sunday, July 29, 2012. The cause was related to a General Electric jet engine.
The much anticipated 787 has suffered massive delays in production. This setback could not come at a worse time.
Along with the Airbus A350, the 787 Dreamliner is supposed to be more fuel efficient and lightweight than older models.
