UK based European low-cost carrier easyJet took the delivery of its first new fuel efficient Airbus A320 aircraft in August 2013.
The aircraft has been modified and fitted with efficiency-boosting wing-tip extensions (sharklets) and also features new lighter seats and lightweight trolleys.
The ergonomically designed seats, manufactured by Recaro, use a combination of foams for greater passenger comfort and provide a slimmer backrest at a reclining angle of 15 degrees
The seats are 26 percent lighter than the seats used currently by the airline on its existing aircraft.
easyJet is launching European flights to the Greek Islands of Rhodes and Paphos and the Middle Eastern tourist spots, Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada, with the new aircraft.
