Emirates is expanding its services to Japan with the launch of daily non-stop flights between its home hub in Dubai and Tokyo’s Haneda Airport beginning from June 3, 2013.
The service will use Boeing 777-200LR aircraft in a three-class configuration.
Emirates also has a codeshare agreement with Japan Airlines. Its new route will be added to the existing code-sharing arrangement.
Haneda, the second-busiest airport in Asia, will be the 131st destination of Emirates worldwide and its third destination in Japan after Osaka and Tokyo’s Narita.
Haneda Airport is much closer to Tokyo than Narita Airport and mainly operates domestic services. Haneda started accepting international flights in October 2010.
