Dubai based Emirates plans to launch daily direct Airbus A380 flights between Dubai and Barcelona from February 1, 2014.
The A380 aircraft will replace the Boeing 777-300ERs used by the airline on the route at present, increasing the airline’s route capacity by 44 percent.
The 517-seat Emirates A380s will offer 14 First Class Suites, 76 Business Class seats with fully-flat beds and 427 seats in Economy Class.
Emirates A380 flights will also be the first permanent A380 flights to Barcelona El Prat Airport.
Emirates is the world’s largest operator of the spacious Airbus A380 aircraft with orders for an additional 85 aircraft. It operates A380 flights linking its Dubai hub to 20 destinations around the world including New York, Toronto, London, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Paris.
Unfortunately travelers departing from Boston will not be able to experience the spacious comfort of Emirates A380. Emirates operates a smaller B777-200LR aircraft daily to and from Boston.
