Passengers traveling from Dallas/Forth Worth are able to experience the luxury and quality of UAE-based Emirates A380 Business Class. The airline upgraded its daily non-stop flights between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Emirates’ hub in Dubai to its Airbus A380 aircraft in October 2014.
Previously in the US, Emirates operated non-stop A380 flights to Dubai only from New York (JFK) and Los Angeles (LAX) airports.
The highlights of the A380 for First and Business Class passengers include 2 on-board Shower Spas (for First Class passengers only) and a separate on-board lounge that enables business meetings and socializing in the air while enjoying fine wines, cocktails and delicacies prepared by five-star chefs.
Bar staff in the lounge begin serving drinks as soon as the aircraft reaches cruising altitude and continue until descent.
When flying on Emirates’ A380s in Business Class, travelers can enjoy lie-flat beds with a length up to 79 inches, WiFi Internet access, multi-course meals created by renowned chefs, large-screen personal entertainment systems with 1,600 channels and a built-in mini-bar at every seat.
Emirates First and Business Class travelers are also offered a complimentary chauffeur-driven service to and from the airport and access to 35 dedicated Emirates’ Lounges at airports across the world.
The A380s replaced the Boeing 777-200LRs used on flights from Dallas to Dubai. Emirates’ 489-seat A380s offer 14 First Class Private Suites, 76 lie-flatbed convertible seats in Business Class and 399 Economy seats.
Dallas/Fort Worth Airport became the 28th international destination serviced by Emirates’ A380 fleet. Emirates is the world’s largest A380 operator.
The flight (EK222) is scheduled to depart Dallas/Fort Worth at 12:35 pm local time and arrive in Dubai at 12:20 pm on the following day. The return flight’s (EK 221) schedule departs Dubai at 02:45 am local time and arrives at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport at 09:45 am on the same day.
DFW airport made final preparations for the arrival of the Emirates A380 with the construction of a second level jet bridge in Terminal D and modifications to the airfield, ramps and taxiways.
In March 2014, Emirates launched direct flights between Boston and Dubai using Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.
The Dubai to Boston flight (EK237) departs Dubai at 09:45 am local time and arrives in Boston at 03:15 pm. The return flight (EK238) departs Boston at 11:15 pm local time and lands in Dubai at 7:30 pm local time on the next day.
Business Class features on the 777-200LR include fully-flat bed convertible seats, 900 channels of on-demand in-flight entertainment, USB ports & power outlets at each seat, SMS/E-mail connectivity at each seat, passenger controlled privacy screens and cabin ambient lighting to simulate the time at the destination.
Emirates operates daily non-stop flights between Dubai and eight US destinations – Boston, New York JFK, Washington DC, Houston, Dallas, Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
From Dubai, passengers can connect to Emirates’ extensive network in Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East or Oceania.
