UAE-based Etihad Airways will increase its capacity between New York’s JFK Airport and the UAE capital Abu Dhabi with the introduction of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the route from June 1, 2013.
The three-class Boeing 777 aircraft with 328 seats will replace the 240-seat Airbus A340-500 operating on the route at present, increasing the capacity by 36.6 percent.
The new aircraft will have 8 Diamond First class seats, 40 Pearl Business class seats and 280 Coral Economy class seats.
Business class seating is in a staggered 1-2-1 configuration with all seats having direct aisle access. No seat interferes with a another seat in the row in front or behind it.
The Boeing 777s will also offer WiFi internet connectivity (Etihad Wi-Fly) – complimentary for First Class passengers and available at a fee for Business and Economy passengers.
