Taiwanese carrier EVA Air, the country’s second largest airline after China Airlines, will operate aircraft with livery featuring the Hello Kitty cartoon character to the Taiwanese capital Taipei from Los Angeles from September 2013.
The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will offer return flights 3 times a week between LAX and Taipei Taoyuan Airport, beginning on September 18. This will be the sixth EVA Air aircraft painted with Hello Kitty-themed livery.
Currently, EVA Air’s Hello Kitty themed aircraft fly on routes linking Taipei with six destinations in East Asia – Shanghai, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Guam (US), Seoul and Hong Kong.
EVA Air launched its first jet featuring the distinctive Hello Kitty-themed livery in 2005.
