Finnair will introduce upgraded Airbus A330 aircraft on its seasonal (summer) flights between the major Canadian airport of Toronto and the Finnish capital, Helsinki from next year.
The flight schedules on the route will also be modified to facilitate easy connections from Helsinki to destinations in the Nordic-Baltic region, Eastern Europe and Russia.
Flights from Toronto to Helsinki will operate from June 1 to September 21 on Tuesdays, Friday and Sundays and last about 8.5 hours.
The flights will depart Toronto at 10:35 p.m. local time and arrive in Helsinki the next day at 1:45 p.m. local time. Return flights will depart Helsinki at 5 p.m. and arrive in Toronto at 6:45 p.m local time, the same day.
The Toronto to Helsinki route will also be included in the joint business partnerships between Finnair and fellow oneworld partners American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia on traffic between the EU and North America.
