Prompt acknowledgement and settlement of passengers’ problems helps airlines to improve their image and also ensures that a fewer number of grievances are blasted out on the Internet and social media.
In-flight entertainment systems provider Thales is launching an in-flight survey system which allows airlines to gather feedback from their passengers through on-board seat-back displays.
The system, which has been developed in partnership with Survey Analytics, is expected to be deployed in a major airline by the end of the year, according to a press release by Thales.
The survey system, which will be available in 22 languages, will allow the airlines to monitor trends and assess the effectiveness of various communications methods. It also may help the airlines address issues before angry travelers broadcast to the world.
