Flights to Dublin, Ireland are easier to find this summer if you are departing from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. With its summer schedule, American Airlines re-launched daily non-stop flights from Chicago to Dublin and return.
For additional ease of travel, passengers returning from Dublin will be able to pre-clear US customs and immigration before boarding their flight home. Passengers will not have to claim their bags and clear immigration again in Chicago. Instead, the flight will be considered a domestic flight, luggage will be checked through for connecting flights, and passengers will be able to save time and hassle.
American Airline’s flights to Dublin use a two-class Boeing 767S aircraft with 225 seats. In its new facility at Terminal 2 in Dublin, American has installed self-service machines to facilitate boarding. Using the machines, passengers can chose their seats and print their boarding passes without waiting in long lines for regular check-in.
While cheap flights to Europe are still almost impossible to find, with lower airport taxes and fees in Ireland, using flights to Dublin as a starting point for your vacation to Europe can be a real help to your budget.
