United launched its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights on November 4, 2012. The interior of this plane is noticeably different from other aircraft and contributes to a much better flight experience despite a number of noticeable teething troubles at present.
In the BusinessFirst class cabin, seats have individually controllable foot and head rests and an in-flight entertainment system with a touch enabled screen. The large windows (which are a 787-only feature) have automatic dimming controls.
When compared to other aircraft, United’s 787 features considerably larger overhead bins, quieter engines and larger and modern lavatories with automatic flush. The comfort-level due to higher humidity also adds to what is basically a much better flight experience than on any other United aircraft.
