Indonesian flag carrier Garuda Indonesia will increase its flights between Singapore and the Indonesian destinations of Bali and Surabaya from October 2013.
Surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia after the capital city, Jakarta.
Currently the airline operates 11 flights per week on the Singapore-Bali route and 4 flights per week between Singapore and Surabaya.
From October 27, the Singapore-Bali flights will operate twice-daily while the Singapore-Surabaya flights will operate daily.
The new flights will use Garuda’s new Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft featuring upgraded interiors and on-board services.
After the coming frequency increase, Garuda will be operating over 90 weekly flights from Singapore to 4 Indonesian destinations – Bali, Jakarta, Balikpapan and Surabaya.
