The FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center recently warned US executives, government workers and academics that their computing devices are at risk of being hacked when they log into WiFi connections in overseas hotels. Computer security analysts say that hotel WiFi connections are especially vulnerable to hackers as these are set up without adequate security measures.
Similarly, WiFi connections at airports and various free hotspots are also vulnerable to hacker attacks. It’s better to use VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) for accessing sensitive business or personal data while traveling.
